I started Unorthodox in Louisville, Kentucky in January of 2015. I spent the first year setting up booths at markets and events, as well as online. In April of 2016, I opened a tiny storefront location in Old Louisville. About the same time, I also founded a night time oddities and art market, called the Dark Market.
Then life happened, and I fell in love.
I relocated to Virginia Beach to live with my boyfriend the end of 2016 and brought my store with me. For the time being at least, I'll be primarily setting up booths and working on this website.
He doesn't say much, but he's always grinning. When he's feeling fancy he wears his top hat. He lives with Cathe and her boyfriend, a clumsy dog, three young cats and two ferrets. The cats make him a bit nervous because they're assholes and sometimes attack his toes.
No, he's not for sale.
The Twins, by Dan Lerner.
They're conjoined baby pig skulls.
Dan is awesome. He also drew the logo for the Dark Market in Louisvile, Kentucky.

The Unorthodox storefront closed in October of 2016 when Cathe relocated to Virginia.
It was located in a very old building at the corner of Sixth and Oak Streets in Old Louisville, and had a fantastic front window.
It was used in an oddities themed model photo shoot once, and was mentioned by haunted Louisville author, David Domine, in the foreword to his latest book, Voodoo Days at La Casa Fabulosa.
